Description:
Baseball scout in the twilight years of his daughter's illness is caused by the end of the recruiting trip.
Review:
I usually do not like sports movies. I love sports, not just sports movies. As I said, this movie was not so much in baseball as it was about a father and daughter. He also touched on how technology has taken the human element of scouting players. This film is the opposite Money Ball, where technology actually helps to build a team. Gus Lobel (Clint Eastwood) is an aging scout Atlanta Braves, who are fighting for their eyes, and the front office have doubts about whether he was still up to the task of identifying and coming talent. Because of these troubles, Gus grumpy old man who is actually adds a lot of humor in the film. Her character kind of reminded me of the guy who plays Eastwood in Grand Torino. Her daughter, Mickey (Amy Adams) discovers that his father has difficulty, reluctantly takes the roll of caregiver and follow his father's scouting adventure. By the way, he probably knows more about baseball than anyone this movie. Johnny Flanagan (Justin Timberlake) is a difficult sport journalist, who was seen before Gus year. The relationship that develops between Miki (named Mickey Mantle), and Johnny was fun to watch and gives an idea of Mickey's reluctance to develop a serious relationship with a man. Pete Klein (John Goodman) plays the role of an intermediary that brings together Mickey and Gas. I really liked his resolute commitment to and confidence in Gus. It's also good to see him again Scott Eastwood (Bill Clark) operates with his father. They acted together in several films, and it was good to see them spending some time with the family. I think the whole story will surely make a better movie, and I'm sure it will attract young viewers to the theater. I do not think this movie was absolutely brilliant, but it was totally fun. There were aspects of the film, which was completely predictable, but I can not wait to play it. Director Robert Lorenz is hit out of the park (as he did Million Dollar Baby), but I think it's safe to Triple Play. I recommend that you do not get to sit on the bench and go see this movie. I give this movie a green light.
