Of course, this film has been a ton of hype and what film can live up to all of you .... blah blah blah. And in order to allow the film is somewhat disappointing. This film proves that it was not just special FX that made Star Wars fun to watch. It was as if George Lucas is so excited about what can be done with CGI effects, forgot what made the original trilogy so great , which is written and characters. Not a bad movie, but the problems are many.-many people have forgiven this movie to be quite fragile as they say, is itself , the first of a trilogy and is just setting everything to follow. Wrong wrong wrong, this movie should be his first film as three other films. It is necessary to have good characters and a very interesting story .... didnt.-Conflict is the story revolves around a trade dispute and the fate of the planet Naboo. Was anyone really care about this? Details of the dispute are somewhat vague and what is revealed not generate enough interest for us to really dis , njosur for a certain part. The most important conflict in Darth Sideous and kept building away in the background. We do not know why Jedi Darth Maul hates so much .... it just does. Finally, Lucas wanted to be somewhat like Boba Fett Darth Maul (silent and mysterious). She has worked with Boba Fett, because he was only a supporting character, not a main villian. This movie is not really clear villian. I wish someone had had the courage and Lucas just said that history was fundamental lousy.-one seems particularly happy in this movie. Qui-Gon is really the only character that can be connected and even he is quite remote. Queen acts as a model of its most scenes (and looks like it was). Obi-Wan Kenobi wander through the whole film to no avail and did not say anything interesting. The characters do not seem to talk about anything except the ground (unlike the first film). C3PO and R2-D2 were quite useless. Jedi Council comes across as extremely cold and buracratic. And I will never understand why they wrote Annakin as a primary school kid in this movie. It would have been a teenager. Queen scenes were ridiculous. And do not discuss things Jar.Various JAR midochlorians ... seems to be tacked on. Humor falls flat if you're a tad too small. Annakin finally destroy merchant vessels and all safves basically wrong! ILM and George Lucas seems to be so happy with their new toys CGI, spending 95% of their time perfecting them. Honestly I thought Return of the Jedi FX were sharper, more dimensional and less cartoon. Nothing all that memorable seem to happen here. This movie was not as good as the hype, but it could have been much better than this. I waited so long for this movie, but the first time I saw this movie I actually got bored between it.There are moments good. Pod race was fun, as was the light saber fight at the end. There are some very nice effects all special. Hopefully Lucas had just writers block when writing it. Maybe he will remember what he did so well at the time of Episode II film. Although he seems to have mistaken the title already.
