It is a risk when the romantic comedy is injected with the truth. Too little, and it feels like a desperate attempt to give the film credibility. Too much and it begins to feel uncomfortable as a comedy is buried in what appears to be a series of life lessons. They make their first anniversary and for most romantic comedies end here, the five-year commitment to make certain that romantic comedies fail to do - it shows what happens after the happy ending.
